Each combipack contains:
(1) One vial contains:
Omeprazole Sodium BP (Lyophilized)
Eq. to Omeprazole 40 mg
(2) One Ampoule of Sterilised Water
for Injections BP 1 0 ml
INDICATIONS:
Omeprazole are indicated in the treatment:
o Duodenal ulcer
o Gastric ulcer
Size· 90 mm x 180 mm
o Reflux esophagitis and esophageal ulceration
o Zollinger Ellison syndrome.
o Resistant ulcers
o Eradication of helicobacter pylori in combination with antibiotics.
o Upper gastrointestinal bleeding
o Lesions associated with Non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
o Prevention of bleeding in critically ill patients.
OSAGE & METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:
DOSAGE
Adults: In patients with duodenal ulcer, gastric ulcer or reflux oesophagitis where oral medication is inappropriate, omeprazole Injection 40 mg once daily is recommended. In patients with Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome the recommended initial dose of omeprazole injection, given intravenously is 60 mg/daily. Higher daily doses may be required and the dose should be adjusted individually. When doses exceed 60 mg daily, the dose should be divided and given twice daily.
Elderly : Dose adjustment is not needed in the elderly.
Children: There is limited experience with omeprazole IV in children.
Impaired renal function: Dose adjustment is not needed in patients with impaired renal function
Impaired hepatic function: In patients with impaired hepatic function a daily dose of 10-20 mg
may be sufficient.
SIDEEFFECTS:
Headache, Abdominal pain, Constipation, Diarrhoea, Flatulence, Nausea, Vomiting, Dermatitis, Back pain, Weakness, Insomnia, Malaise, and Vertigo.
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
Pregnancy : Omeprazole Injection 40 mg can be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit to the mother outweighs the possible risk to the fetus.
Lactation: Omeprazole is excreted into breast milk but is unlikely to influence the child when used in therapeutic doses.
PRESENTATION:
Combipack containing 10 ml amber color glass vial with one ampoule of sterile water for injection BP 10 ml.

Store below 30 C. Protect from light.
