IRON ZINC & MULTIVITAMIN SYRUP
COMPOSITION:
Each 5 ml contains:
- Ferric Ammonium Citrate
- Eq. to Elemental Iron 14 mg
- Zinc sulphate 20 mg
- Folic acid 0.5 mg
- Vitamin B1 2 mg
- Vitamin B2 1 mg
- Vitamin B6 2 mg
- Vitamin B12 5 mcg
- Nicotinamide 5 mcg
- Excipients QS
INDICATIONS
BIORON syrup is used to treat or prevent a lack of these nutrients which may occur in certain health conditions like:
- Iron deficiency anemia
- chronic blood loss
- post operative anemia convalescene perid
- during pregnancy
- lactation
DOSAGE & Method of Administration
Children:
2-6 years 5 ml, 1 times daily or as directed by a doctor
6-12 years: 5 ml, 2 to 3 times daily before food.
Adults:
10 ml, 3 times daily before food.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
This medicine must not be used if patients have hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or to any of the excipients.
Do not use this combination if,
- You are allergic to any ingredient in this combination.
- You have certain iron metabolism problems or high levels of iron in your blood.
- Avoid milk and dairy products at least for 2 hours.
WARNING & PRECAUTIONS
Warnings
- If you have any existing medical condition like diabetes, hypertension, kidney or liver problem
- If you are on other medications, supplements or following any complementary or integrative health approaches
- You should not take this supplement if you are allergic to any of the component of this supplement
- If you have any planned surgery or operation. You may be asked to stop taking these products at least 2-3 weeks ahead of the procedure
- Dietary supplements are intended to supplement the diets of some people and should not be a substitute for a well-balanced, varied diet and a healthy lifestyle
Precautions For Use
Inform the physician if the patient is allergic to the active ingredients and any other drugs.
Brief about the allergy and the signs like:
- Rash
- Itching
- Shortness of breath
- Swelling of face, lips, tongue or throat or any other signs
USE IN PREGNANCY
Pregnancy
Can be used in Iron deficiency anaemia during Pregnancy and Lactation after considering
risk benefit ratio.
Although, this product is safe to use but it should be taken under the supervision of the dietitian
Lactation: Contraindicated in breast-feeding women
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
Store in a cool, dry place away from heat and light.
